First Post, Again

OK, so I had a first post before this, but it was before I knew what I wanted to do with my blog. So I'm doing it again! Anyways... It has always been a hobby of mine (as opposed to a passion) to discuss politics and my worldview, so I thought that as long as I had a free soapbox (thanks blogger!), I might as well take advantage of it. So what am I here to do? Well let me tell you. I have 3 goals:

1) Commentate. I want to give my opinion on things that are happening in the world, focusing on the U.S. and politics, but spreading out to anything.

2) Discuss. I want to hear what other people have to say about the world, and I want people to tell me I'm wrong. I want for others to criticize me without condemning me for anything and everything I say and how I say it. If I'm going to become any smarter or wiser, I'm going to have to realize that there are better ways of doing things.

3) Learn. I want this to be a platform for myself as well as anyone who cares to chime in. Even if you're wrong, you are welcome to say your fair share.

Obviously, this is not a forum for discussion so much as room for commentary, but I think that there is reasonable space to comment on what others have to say. I am hoping that this will be a fun, enjoyable, and valuable experience and hope that any and all of my readers will contribute to that goal! Thanks!
